Browser storage

The game stores your nickname, anonymous visitor identifier, character, theme, selected mode, and personal bests in your browser using local storage.

Hosted leaderboard

When a run ends, the game may send your player identifier, display name, mode, score, duration, ecosystem, theme, and character choice to the KudosQuest server and hosted database.

Usage analytics

We collect limited operational analytics including visits, game starts, completed runs, device type, browser family, broad country code when supplied by our network provider, and referring website. Ordinary clicks, jumps and dives are not individually recorded.

IP address handling

The server may briefly process an IP address to create a one-way keyed hash used to recognise approximate repeat visits. The raw IP address is not stored in the game analytics tables.

Security and anti-cheat

We may retain timing and submission metadata to validate scores, enforce rate limits, diagnose failures, and investigate abuse.

What we do not need

The mini-game does not require your email address, precise location, Strava account, or payment information. Administrator sign-in is separate from ordinary game play.
